Barrett-Jackson is at it again and this time they are auctioning off the first #001 Prototype Ford GTX1 Supercar at there Palm Beach Barrett-Jackson Auction event. The GTX1 Roadster is a 650 horsepower supercharged V8 car that is derived from the GT40 and it's built by Genaddi Design Group. All the proceeds of the sale are to benefit the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children.

As part of the Custom Cars & Concept program at the school the students set out to build one bad machine and they did just that. Ford supplied two engineering prototypes, a Ford GT and a Ford Five Hundred to be disected by the students.
