The Shelby GT is the third modern Shelby Mustang produced through a collaboration of Ford and Shelby Automobiles. In addition to the 2007 Shelby GT500, Ford and Shelby created 500 copies of the Ford Shelby GT-H, which are available only through select Hertz rental centers.
“We have been overwhelmed at the number of people who want to buy a version of the Shelby GT-H,” said Carroll Shelby, CEO of Shelby Automobiles, Inc. “The Shelby GT will deliver the power and balanced handling of the Shelby GT-H, but with more performance potential, especially due to the available manual transmission.”

Carroll Shelby and Ford are collaborating again for a third vehicle due out later this year as a 2007 model. The new model will be called the Shelby GT. The 2007 Shelby GT will be similar to that of the Shelby GT-H performance wise and will be priced below the Shelby GT500 probably in the low to mid $30K range. Ford gave this announcement to dealers at meetings in Las Vegas this week and has said the car will come in either white or black with silver stripes. It will also use the same 4.6-liter 325 horsepower engine in the GT-H model that is currently for rent at select Hertz dealers around the country.

The new 2007 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 Super crew truck is targeted at one of the fastest growing segments, the 4-door pickup market. The truck has a scary monotone black exterior with 22-inch polished forged-aluminum wheels with unique split five-spoke design. Another first for the Harley-Davidson is an optional Dark Amethyst exterior color while the interior features high-gloss Piano Black with rich black aniline leather seating surfaces and to top it all off with a bunch of chrome. The 2007 Shelby GT500 Mustang and John Force’s Mustang Funny Car share a rich history of competing and winning in their respective motorsports.
The 1965 Shelby GT350 started on top right out of the gate, showing its taillamps to the competition on America’s road courses. At the hands of such drivers as Jerry Titus, Mark Donahue and Bob Johnson, the GT350 took five of the six Sports Car Club of America division titles that year and netted Johnson a national championship.
