When I saw the Roush Stage 3 BlackJack prototype go across the auction block at Barrett-Jackson in January I said to myself when are they going to build this evil looking monster. Well are prayers have been answered so to speak with ROUSH annoucning a limited run of a 100 Stage 3 BlackJack Mustangs, which have already been pre-sold through ROUSH-authorized Ford dealers. The protoype BlackJack fetched $82,500 with all the fees at BJ and in my opinion was a steal for the winning bidder who got the first of a limited run Mustang from Roush.

The Ford Mustang Giugiaro Concept is making it’s debut at the L.A. Auto Show this week. The concept was custom built by renowned Italian coachbuilder Giugiaro who created a one of-a-kind Mustang with Ford Racing suspension, drivetrain and a 4.6-liter V8 pumping out 500 horsepower.
The car with all it’s Italian flare and design still resembles the Mustang in so many ways. The front fascia of the car has been lowered and pinched in a bit to give it a lean and mean look like no other. The body has been widened from 30 milimeters in the front to about 80 milimeters in the rear which is typical in Italian design. The Glass roof is made from one piece of crystal that filters out 100 percent of UV rays and extends from the rear of the car all the way to the front hood. The interior of this concept car looks like something out of the old west with it’s brown and butterscotch colors along with it’s horsehide inserts. The doors on this machine are lamborghini like in that they flip up with the touch of a button like scissors.

It’s back in crate form, the 5.0-liter 302 cubic inch V-8 which made it’s debut in 1969 is making a comeback. Ford is reviving the lengendary engine for the aftermarket with a new line of BOSS 302 crate engines that will go on sale in the first part of 2007. The suggested retail price for the BOSS 302 block is affordable at $1,759, while complete BOSS engines range from $4,650 to $10K for the 500 horsepower BOSS 331 cubic inch engines. All BOSS engines come with a 12 month/12K mile limited warranty.
The unvieling of these crate engines was made at the SEMA show in Las Vegas in early November and Ford gave a few lucky custom car builders the opportunity to use the crate engine in their 2006 SEMA show vehicles. Read below for all the information and specs.

ROUSH performance has pushed the Shelby GT500 to the limit with the release of a new ROUSHcharger system that will boost overall power to 700 horsepower with their top of the line kit. The ROUSHcharger system will come in three different kits with the first being just minor upgrades like a Cold Air Kit and new calibration which will give you an additional 45 horsepower. The next kit includes the 2.3L blower, 78mm non-removable pulley and new calibration which will add 120 ponies and 88 lb.-ft. torque. This kit will include a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty and not void the factory warranty. The top package will include the 2.3L blower along with mods the owner must purchase separately like a 72mm or 76mm pulley and new calibration. These mods will push your GT500 to 700 horsepower as per the ROUSH engineers. Unfortunely this kit will void your factory warranty so think twice before choosing your kit.
