2009 Mustang Gets Glass Roof Option
ImageThe 2009 Ford Mustang will have a new Glass Roof option for customers to purchase for an added cost of $1,995.00.  The Glass Roof option is Ford’s answer to what customers have been wanting for years, more natural light inside the cabin.  Ford is adding the Glass Roof option to V6 and Mustang GT models for 2009 to give customers a thrid option along with a coupe and convertible when purchasing a Mustang. 2008 Bullitt Mustang Returns To The Spotlight

Ford has officially unvelied the 2008 Bullitt Mustang a little early releasing official information and photos.  For awhile now we have known pretty much every detail including engine and suspension specs so I won’t bore you with those details.  What we now know is Ford will be producing 7,700 Bullitt Mustangs for 2008 with an MSRP of $31,075.  Also the exterior of the car will not have a Ford or Pony badge of any kind, the only badge will be a Bullitt faux gas cap. ROUSH P-51A Mustang Packs 510 Horsepower

Image During World War II, the P-51 Mustang was hailed as a savior of aviation and certainly played a major part in ending the conflict.  This long range fighter escorted Allied bombers over Europe and Hermann Goering, the head of Germany's Luftwaffe, summarized the plane’s role by stating, "The day I saw P-51 Mustangs flying over Berlin, I knew the jig was up."

Today, at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the jig is up for the rest of the Ford Mustang tuners as ROUSH Performance unveiled the P-51A Mustang automobile which, at 510 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque, is sure to be held in as high a regard as the airplane has been in the history books and will help to save the streets from the invasion of the foreign brands.  Read more...

New Ford Racing GT500 Supercharger Adds 105 Horsepower

Image Owners of the new Ford GT500 are justifiably proud of their car and proud of the 500 horsepower under the hood.  Now the engineers at ROUSH and Ford Racing Technologies, the collective leaders in Ford powertrain development, have unveiled a new Ford Racing GT500 Supercharger which boosts the performance to 605 horsepower.

The new Ford Racing GT500 Supercharger pushes the horsepower to 605 with 554 lb.-ft of torque while keeping a 1-year/12,000 mile drivetrain warranty.  The complete system also includes a cold air kit and a Ford Racing ProCalTM calibration tool.  Read more...

Official 2008 Bullitt Mustang Specifications Releaed
Image We can finally put all the rumors to bed about the 2008 Bullitt Mustang specs.  Ford has released a revised 2008 Mustang Order Guide that includes exactly what the Bullitt package (54B) will include.  Accoriding to the order guide Ford expects the Bullitt package to be 5% of total production meaning they should produce somewhere in the range of 6K-8K units.  The Bullitt will be offered in two colors, Dark Highland Green and Black along with a Ford Racing Power Pack.  Click the read more link for the new order guide and full list of Bullitt Specs. ROUSHcharger System Gets A Horsepower Upgrade

Image ROUSH Performance, America’s leading powertrain engineering group, has added an additional 30 horsepower to their legendary ROUSHcharger system for the Ford Mustang GT; this increases the output of this supercharger system to a total of 445 horsepower under the hood.

The additional horsepower comes from changing to a slightly smaller pulley and an enhanced PCM calibration to take advantage of the higher spin rate.  Customers with a previously installed ROUSHchargerTM can upgrade to this High Boost Pressure Pulley by ordering part number 402863 which has a suggested retail price of $389.00.  Read more...

SEMA 2007: Mike Murillo's 3000 Horsepower Twin-Turbo Mustang
Image At this year’s SEMA show Mike Murillo in association with Turbosmart will unveil his new Twin-Turbo 1993 Fox-Body Outlaw Mustang that packs an estimated 3000 horsepower.  The Mustang is being built to compete in the Outlaw 10.5 class which Mike has won 8 times over his career with his previous car, the “Star” Mustang.  His new Mustang is powered by a 541 cubic inch big block Ford motor with the boost being provided by two 88mm turbos, controlled by two 50mm PowerGates, two RacePort BOVs and an e-Boost2 boost management system.  Mike is hoping to run mid 6 second times with this setup. 2008 ROUSH 428R Mustang Announced

Image ROUSH Performance continues to pay tribute to Ford’s legendary history with the 428R Mustang, a limited edition pony car which follows in the tremendous success of their 427R model introduced last year and which remains in the ROUSH product lineup for the 2008 model year.

The ROUSH 428R Mustang will arrive at participating Ford dealerships in October 2007.

“We are continuing to honor and celebrate the heritage of the proudest models of Ford racing history – the 427, 428 and 429 (engines),” stated Jack Roush. “These are iconic numbers in the Ford world and it is an honor to put them onto ROUSH Mustangs and insert them back into the muscle car world.”  Read more...
