Not bad for your first time but the car still has a lot in it. Work on the sixty foot times and drive the car a little harder and you should see times well into the 13's w/trap speeds over 100mph.

next time you hit the track work on feathering the clutch so the tires bite hard and you leave hte line w/o much wheelspin. you should be able to get into the 2.0x range on street tires for your 60ft time.
also, powershifting will net you a tenth in the 1/8th mile (so maybe .1 to .2 tenths off your 1/4 time). but that's not really recommended with a stock tranny/shifter...

That's actually some not so good times to be honest. Your car has a lot more in it. Practice your launch. Oh, and put the silencer back on, especially in the heat and humidity. ;) Try lowering your rear tire pressure to 23 psi and pump the fronts to 40. Shift at 5700 RPMs, crossing the finish line in 3rd gear. I'm sure you'll see improvements next time. :)

Thanks for all your advice-- I'll definitely try that next time. I powershifted 2nd, and I fishtailed a little bit... I think I'll be a little bit easier on second next time, that killed my time I'm sure.
As far as the silencer goes-- am I pulling too much engine heat without it on? Hell it's worth a shot next time, just for giggles. :)
Thanks again for the advice....

On the 99+ GT's you can lose power by removing the silencer. In fact, I tested it out at the track and lost a consistent 1 mph with it off. Put it back on and gained that 1 mph back. BUt I'd get a Densecharger if I were you. ;)
