If I had the V8 built by then..I'd think about it. But I am losing the power steering..so that right there ruins my chances. I'd have to run true street.

The only thing that they might give me a hassle with is my control arms. I never adjusted them for any different pinion angle, they were just adjusted to stock length.

They won't let you run with them regardless of the postion. It's like having a bottle but telling them it's not open. They aren't going to want to check your pinion angle after every pass. George has already said they will be heavily teching this class and making zero exceptions. He even went as far as saying that anyone running low 13's will be torn down. They are in for a big surprise because I expect to see high 12 to low 13 second passes. And no I will not be running my car in this class, I don't go backwards with my mods only forward.

I woudln't count on it. If you look at the rules there is no minimum weight limit so they couldn't penalize you. The idea behind this class is a true street car with just a few bolt-ons. Anything that would give you the advantage on street tires won't be looked at lightly.

damn! I might have to bring the Bullitt out of retirement. This sounds like fun.

Bill, what kind of tire would be acceptable? I guess a 555R is out of the question, right? Even if you daily drive them?

Yep, the 555R's are classified as a 'racing' tire. Ran into that before with my car. A regular 555 would pass though. Maybe you could find another set of wheels and mount a set of set of real street radials on lol..

You've got the driving skills bro, I say give it a shot!

It has to be a regular radial tire and they have to be the same size rim and tire on all four corners. Drag radials, ET streets, etc.. will not be allowed. With the allowed bolt-ons I think you could do really well in the class.

Well, being that I haven't done hardly any mods to my car warrants it as being near stock. It's got: pulleys, off road-H, K&N, UCA & LCA's, and DR's (for the track only).

I can fit every requirement except the control arms, but I am NOT bolting the stockers back in. Like Bill said once, I didn't have in mind going backwards when I was modding my car.

Yeah, they might be adjustable UCA's, but they were adjusted for stock length, DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a fun class...aka Trophy Stock back about 8 years ago and look where it is now, hopefully FFW will stick to their original rules/plan for this class. I'll be in True Street shooting for Top 5.

Figures.....I finally build a decent motor, work the chassis, etc. and one year ago my car would've fallen right into that class!! Oh well, I'll just sneak in and make a pass anyway!! :D
