Cars a 94GT aode vert...
mods are:
- 373s, shiftkit, coldair, maf, pulleys, headers, o/r x pipe, flows, no smog/shortbelt, 100lb weight reduction, bumped up timing, bumped fuel presure...hoping to hit 14's
Well hopefully this Friday il be able to make it down to the track.. its about an hour and half from me(orlando speedworld).
Weather here at nites has been pretty chilly.. ide say around 60's-70's days have been around mid 80's or so. Racing would be at nite anyhow.... thing is this will be my VERY FIRST TIME ever... ive practiced luanching on the street and shifting, so im comfortable with shift points and luanching.. but not on a track..
Is traction better at the track, or worse then streets?
I know not to follow behind those Front wheel drives.. and if possible get behind a fast car, right?
not to do big burnouts with my street tires.. and ice the intake.. remove swaybar, pass seat, and spare/jack... anything else im missing here?
would i get better times by easing out of the hole then mashing the gas, or just mashing it off the line? keep in mind i have an auto tranny, and oily falken 275x40x17 tires..
Im sorry for all the dumb questions, but i really wana make this trip worthwhile and not be disapointed by crappy runs, cuase of driver error.. i know only way to learn is by practice, but i gota start somwhere.. any tips/sugestions, anything else? thanks....
